“The Disgraceful Sons of George III ” is the topic of the guest speaker, Janie Ramsay, at Nutley Historical Society.

We’ve all probably heard of the ‘Madness of King George III ‘ , a play by Alan Bennett which was made into a film ‘The Madness of King George’.

It has been suggested the ‘III’ was dropped from the film title unless people thought it was yet another sequel.

King George and his wife Charlotte had 15 children, 7 were boys.

Did they inherit his traits, or were they just ‘disgraceful’ ?
