 NOTICE OF COUNCILLOR VACANCY

 

 

 

 

Following the resignation of Mr Hanno Fry as Parish Councillor for Maresfield Ward, Maresfield Parish Council, in pursuance of Rule 8 of the Local Elections (Parishes and Communities) Rules 1986, is to fill this vacancy by co-option.

 

Prospective Councillors must qualify for membership of the Parish Council under one of the following provisions of S79 of the local Government Act 1972:-

  • They are on the Electoral Register for the Parish
  • They have owned or rented land in the Parish for twelve months
  • They have worked in the Parish for twelve months
  • They have lived in the Parish, or within three miles of the Parish Boundary, for twelve months
