Maresfield Parish Council represents the villages of Maresfield, Nutley and Fairwarp, including Duddleswell, Horney Common and parts of the Ashdown Forest. The Council meets monthly (usually the third Tuesday of the month) and details of the meetings can be found on this website and on the various village notice boards.

Maresfield Parish is in the area served by Wealden District Council, which in turn comes under East Sussex County Council.

Parish Council Meeting Minutes

Parish Council Meeting Minutes will be posted in this section of our website approximately one week after the Parish Council Meeting has approved the minutes.

DRAFT minutes will be available in this section for the full Council meetings.

Note that these DRAFT minutes are unadopted and subject to correction at the following Council meeting.

Attendance Records

In common with District and County Councils, the attendance records of councillors at meetings from May 2007 (the last election) are recorded here.

Responsibilities

In addition to attending the Parish Council Meetings, your Parish Councillors have additional responsibilities for specific areas of the parish's planning applications, and as Chairmen and representatives on various committees both on the Parish Council and on other local administrative bodies and organizations. Some of these are listed in this section.

Budget and Precept

Maresfield Parish is different for local government purposes from the church parishes, and the ward boundaries do not match those of the church parishes.
